I am an artist from the North Coast of New South Wales. I gained teaching qualifications from the University of Wollongong and for many years I taught intellectually and physically disabled children. I won the Rockdale art award when I was 12, at the time I was being tutored by now well-known Australian artist Pamela Griffiths. I continued to study art on a part time basis at East Sydney Technical College, Seaforth Technical College and St George Technical College and in the last few years I have been tutored by many well-known artists such as David Fairburn, Rodney Black, Angus McDonald, Pamela Griffiths an Tony Smibert.
I resigned from teaching and worked in the film industry producing television commercials and documentaries. When that career finished I worked for Standards Australia in their marketing Department, designing and placing media.
I was always drawing and painting and after I took an early retirement I decided to spend as much time as possible on my art. I have been teaching private students for 12 years and I have taught and studied painting overseas and I travel and study at every opportunity. I have exhibited widely and had many solo exhibitions and over 40 joint exhibitions.
